  • Handing the entire accounts payable function of the company which includes,
    • Processing of all vendor payments within the agreed credit terms whilst ensuring the compliance with
      financial policies and procedures.
    • Processing and monitoring advance payments on timely basis.
    • Preparing vendor reconciliations.
    • Answering promptly and resolving the queries from vendors and internal departments,
    • Filling and maintaining the payment vouchers and all other documents.
  • Carrying out account reconciliations and monitoring the control accounts on monthly basis.
  • Passing journal entries to the General Ledger.
  • Assisting in preparation of monthly financial statements.
  • Managing the dispatch of cheques, payment summaries, vendor statements and other correspondence as required.
  • Liaising with the banks to resolve payment issues.
  • Assisting the Treasury department in payment forecasting and cash management.
  • Liaising with internal and external auditors.


  • Part qualifications in CA/ACCA or equivalent or bachelor’s degree from a reputed university in the related field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the field of accounting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Excellent communication skills both in English and Sinhala.
  • Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail.
  • Hands on experience with ERP system (SAP) will be an added advantage.
  • Age below 35 years.
