Purchasing Officer

Job Responsibilities

  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
  • Work closely with the finance team to ensure smooth operation of commercial issues
  • Work with team members and project managers to develop future purchasing plans
  • Enter purchase orders in the ERP System
  • Negotiate contract terms and pricing
  • Review quality of purchased products with QAQC team and finalize relevant documentation
  • Send RFQs and evaluate potential vendors and price comparison
  • Assist in the procurement of material required for projects
  • Maintain updated records of purchased products delivery information and invoices
  • Coordinate with storekeepers to ensure proper storage
  • Ensure that all purchase requisition is attended to without delay
  • Travel to project sites as required

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum three years’ experience in similar capacity
  • Good communication skills in English and ability to negotiate.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Experience in purchasing material for engineering projects would be a distinct advantage.
  • Professional qualification in purchasing management from a recognized institute would be an added advantage
