Job Description

SENIOR EXECUTIVE – HUMAN RESOURCES (SHADOWLINE, KATUNAYAKE)

We are on the lookout for a dynamic and energetic individual to join MAS Active – Shadowline, Katunayake, as a Senior Executive in Human Resources to follow up and ensure all KPI’s pertaining to HR aspects at the plant are achieved in a timely and effective manner whilst, engaging in areas such as absenteeism, labour turnover and performance management thereby, ensuring an effective operations process

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a good relationship with workers (Employee Relation) and inquire any grievances whilst, motivating all employees in all departments to increase productivity
  • Monitor absenteeism/ LTO on a weekly and daily basis and compile the relevant report supporting same whilst, circulating it to relevant personnel in order to support the decision-making process and taking necessary action to curtail same with the given budgets
  • Handle all disciplinary and grievance matters in consultation with the HR Manager, including industrial relations whilst, ensuring the organizations rules and procedures are effectively communicated and implemented in order to foster a culture which is in line with objectives
  • Ensure that Training and Development programs are carried out in a systematic manner from the identification of training needs to performance evaluations through coordination of training initiatives across the organization whilst, implementing quality assured systems/ procedures in order to monitor and control training expenditure against the budget
  • Organize induction/ familiarization programs and conduct factory tours for new recruits
  • Monitor the training-line and ensure the timely completion of training
  • Monitor the progress of new recruits/ in plant trainees and guide them through the training plan
  • Facilitate the departmental KPI monitoring on a quarterly basis by filling KIP monitoring sheets and liaising with HODs to obtain relevant information whilst, circulating same to the General Manager
  • Conduct CSR projects as per the divisional requirement to enhance the immediate community of the plant, obtain feedback and expertise from the Central Sustainability team in order to ensure project sustainability whilst, preparing timelines for each project and completing the same in a timely manner
  • Perform additional duties commensurate with the current role, as and when requested by management

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree or Diploma in Human Resources
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience
