Shipping-Executive/Assistant
JB Apparel - Lanka Garment Manufacturing Company Limited, a subsidiary of Jafferjee Brothers Group of Companies, has been in operations for the past Four decades, housing three manufacturing facilities with a direct workforce over 1500.
We are looking for a dynamic, result oriented individual who have a strong desire to gain exposure & experience in Import and Export clearance to apply for below position in our head office based in, Colombo 14.
The Shipping-Executive/Assistant processes and clears all import and export fabric, trims, accessories and finish goods and ensures that timely documentation is carried out effectively to meet the production and export schedules.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinating with Merchandisers/Planning team and finishing team for onetime booking.
- Arrange all pre shipments and post shipment documents.
- Handling the operational process with BOI, Customs, CFS and SLPA.
- Coordinating with customers for required approvals.
- Maintaining daily records.
Requirements:
- G.C.E. A/Ls with an above 1year of experience in similar capacity.
- Age between 25-35 years.
- Computer literacy with the ability to prepare computerized import and export CUSDECS, knowledge of BOI & Customs procedures relating to import and export documentation.
- Strong relationship to maintain good rapport with forwarders, Government authorities and other related stake holders.
- Knowledge of Import and Export documents would be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work long hours.
