Management Accountant
Location: Panadura
You, as an experienced management accounting professional, will analyze data generated in our manufacturing plants and come up with ways of processing, converting them into management information and then disseminating to our senior management team to make sound and timely decisions. You will be a professional who has extensively worked with ERP systems in manufacturing industry. This role will be instrumental in managing the implementation of standard costing policies and practices including BOM accuracy etc., division-wide and providing oversight on margins, manufacturing variances and purchase price variances. You will be a Team Player with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate confidently and persuasively with a wide variety of people, up to very senior levels. This position is based in our Richlife Dairies Ltd factory.
Key Job Functions;
- Prepare monthly management accounts which will enable effective and complete management review.
- Ensure a 'continuous improvement' culture within the company with regard to financial controls and procedures while driving cost saving initiatives in the factory and reduce wastage.
- Closely monitor pricing and margins.
- Ensure all product and project costing are accurately maintained and ensure process is in place to make accurate estimates.
- Work closely with Manufacturing/ Engineering teams to understand and develop product processing times to establish full product castings, understand productivity and validate cost reduction opportunities.
- Pre & Post Costing and assist in the budgeting process.
- Remain within annual operating budgets and achieve cost effectiveness savings where possible.
- Monitor factory overheads and develop absorption rates.
- Monthly reporting and providing timely MIS.
- Work with finance and operation teams to design and implement best practices.
- Monitor factory wages and overtime.
- Monitor stock movement and reporting of exceptions.
The ideal candidate should have the following prerequisites;
- Finalist in CIMA/ACCA or similar professional qualification.
- Have minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role in manufacturing industries.
- Previous exposure and having worked with an ERP platform will be a definite advantage.
- Have good communication and interpersonal skills to work across all levels of staff and management.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
