Contrinex is a leading manufacturer of inductive and photoelectric sensors. The Swiss company with headquarters in Givisiez. employs over 500 employees worldwide. Contrinex Ceylon (Pvt) Ltd is a BOI approved company, based in Wattala and currently looking for following positions.
PURCHASING EXECUTIVE
We are looking for a Purchasing Executive to source products that are essential for our company's day-to-day operations. You will have to review prices, and quality and ensure optimal stock levels. Purchasing Executive responsibilities include evaluating vendors, negotiating contracts, and preparing reports. For this role, you should have good knowledge of market research, along with solid analytical skills to make sure you're identifying the most profitable offers. Ultimately, you'll create and maintain good relationships with key suppliers to ensure merchandise is high quality and delivered on time.
Main Responsibilities,
- Perform research activities to determine a list of possible vendors
- Arrange meetings with vendors and confer with them in order to provide them with requirements
- Confer with production department to determine purchasing needs
- Initiate contact with vendors to check the availability of needed documents
- Ensure that the right number of materials are delivered to the production at the right time
- Check shipments to ensure quality and quantity of purchased items
- Monitor all purchase requisitions and handle adjustments with vendor
- Liaison with the accounting department to reconcile invoices and purchase orders
- Research pricing information and compare prices and quotations
Qualifications & Experience
- 2 years of experience in a similar capacity in a reputed organization.
- Graduate in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management
- Hands-on experience in SAP/ any ERP systems
- Sound research and networking skills
- Great communicator
- Ability to work in a pressurized environment
