MERCHANDISER - DEVELOPMENT
JOB PROFILE
Liaise with the customer and Product development team directly and act as a facilitator between two parties by meeting the goals and objectives set by the merchandising division in effective and efficient manner.
Marketing & Product Development
- Work with new and existing customers on newness, product innovation to seek new product opportunities.
- Work with Design and Product Development to develop and cross develop styles and raw materials to offer new products to customers.
- Focus on local and in region raw material sourcing to offer trade and tariff benefits to customers.
- Work on product strengths to increase customer share and fulfill budget capacity.
Development Sampling
- Work with customers to secure tech packs for development.
- Order sample raw materials with suppliers on time to meet sample deadlines.
- Book sample capacity and work closely with sample room to execute samples in right quality to customer.
- Maintain common sample material stock levels.
- Keep customer regularly updated on sample due dates and status.
Product Costing
- Work with Development Center, Industrial Engineering and Fabric Team to secure accurate SMV and consumptions for costing.
- Negotiate prices with raw material suppliers.
- Work out accurate FOB costings and submit to customers along with samples for selection meeting deadlines.
- Negotiate and agree final FOB prices with customers to meet company budget targets.
- Upload final Costing and BOM information to ERP and proceed Design cost roll up.
- Work with data /inventory team to carry out final costing roll up enabling style to proceed for production.
- Must adhere to company principles of ethical sourcing. All raw materials should be purchased from customer nominated / approved suppliers with only exception being any cross developed and Director Supply Chain / Country Manager approved alternative source to support business needs.
CANDIDATES
- GCE Advanced level examination in any stream
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in the similar position
- Good communication skills
- IT literacy
- Should be an active team player
- Arithmetic skills
- Negotiation skills
