Applications are invited for dynamic, result-oriented, ambitious individuals to fill the below vacancy in our plant Ansell Textiles Lanka (Pvt) Ltd.


The incumbent is responsible for testing of incoming materials samples in the process to and preparing reports and interpreting results to make sure the quality standards in in-coming materials as well as in the process is maintained up to required standards.




The incumbent is responsible for:

1. Develop and implement all documentation and procedures for ISO/IEC 17025 Quality & Technical requirements for EN 388 & International standards.

2. Arranging & conducting of Proficiency Testing with sister company's and international test service providers.

3. Validating/Calibrating methods and equipment, handling Calibrating of equipments in entire factory.

4. Oversaw Inspecting of incoming materials and finish good with involvement of other subordinate staff using analytical techniques and instrumentation.

5. Using high range of analytical techniques, instrumentation and software.

6. Interpreting data and adhering to strict guidelines on documentation when recording data.

7. Reporting scientific results for Suppliers/Customers (QA Department, Coating Division, Stores, etc....)

8. Developing techniques (Test Procedure) for the analysis of new products and chemicals.

9. Working collaboratively & liaising with in cross-functional teams.

10. Participate at technical meetings and report any unusual determination to relevant persons or departments.

11. Being aware of, and keeping up to date with, health and safety issues.

12. Trained and oversaw Laboratory Technicians in proper use of instrumentation, as well as fabric/paper performance testing, and Chemical, Polymer Analysis.

13. Managed the ordering and usage of supplies with the proper stewardship of resources, inventorying, and laboratory equipment maintenance.

14. Enhances laboratory and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

15. Works with ERP System.

Compliance with EHS standards.

1. Maintain compliance with all internal and external EHS rules, regulations and other Risk Management requirements.

2. Actively use the safety calendar (or contribute to the activities prescribed in the supervisor's/manager's calendar) as an accountability tool to measure safety performance and to promote the development of a EHS culture.

3. Follow the requirements of the 5-point safety charter

Compliance with QMS system

Ensure that processes are delivering their intended outputs with complying to the ATL-QMS & responsible to implement, maintain & continuous development in relevant processes in accordance with ATL-QMS.


Communicate with Associate Manager Laboratory regarding deviation of test results from standards.

  • Keep the relevant departments updated with test results of products and materials.


Qualification, Knowledge and experience

  • Minimum of a Diploma in relevant field.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge in Textile technology.
  • 3 years of laboratory testing experience minimum one year of which are in a supervisory capacity required.
  • Good communicator with sound problem solving and statistical skills.
