SENIOR LEGAL OFFICER
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Attending to all company trade mark registrations and intellectual property matters.
- Attending to matters pertaining to both local and international litigation.
- Drafting, reviewing and executing commercial agreements and notarial instruments.
- Examination of title to land and attending to notarial work.
- Providing legal advice to the management to ensure statutory compliance with existing law and regulatory requirements.
CANDIDATE PROFILE :
- Should be an Attorney- at - Law with a Notaries license to practice in English in District of Colombo.
- Having a LLB/LLM degree would be an added advantage.
- Experience in maritime, international trade, insurance, and shipping & cargo-related matters.
- Minimum of 5 years overall credible work experience as an Attorney-at-Law with 2 years in the corporate sector for Senior Legal Officer.
- Should possess a good command of English, both oral and written and must be computer literate.
- Should be a person with high interpersonal skills and a self- starter who can work with minimum supervision.
