SENIOR EXECUTIVE - WASHING
Washing Operations
We are looking for an experienced Senior Executive - Washing to oversee and control the day-to-day garment washing operations for knitted garments. The role is responsible for ensuring that all washing processes are strictly executed, consistent from sample to bulk, and completed to meet customer quality standards and delivery deadlines.
The Senior Executive - Washing must have strong practical experience in industrial garment washing, possess in-depth knowledge of wash recipes and process controls, and be able to collaborate effectively with production, quality, development teams, and external washing or dyeing suppliers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee complex garment washing processes, optimizing recipes, chemical usage, and machine parameters independently.
- Guarantee strict bulk-to-sample consistency for hand feel, shade, color retention, and shrinkage.
- Lead shop-floor problem solving to resolve critical washing or color defects before bulk runs.
- Monitor line performance and coordinate workflow to hit daily targets and strict delivery deadlines.
- Act as the key technical bridge between Quality, Development, Merchandising, and Production teams to mitigate risks.
- Lead sample development washes, analyze fabric behavior, and implement improvements to reduce rework and chemical waste.
REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or Degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Technology, Industrial Chemistry, or a related field.
- 4–6 years of hands-on experience in industrial garment washing (knits, sweaters, or school wear preferred).
- Advanced knowledge of wash recipes, shrinkage control, color matching, and wet-processing standards.
- Proven ability to lead floor operators, manage shifting priorities, and solve technical issues independently.
- Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
