Overview Of The Role
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Assistant Manager – Warranty to lead the warranty function for the Renault brand. This role is responsible for managing warranty operations, ensuring timely claim submissions and recoveries, maintaining compliance with principal requirements, and driving continuous improvement in warranty processes across the dealer network.
What You’ll Do
- Manage the end-to-end warranty claims process, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant submissions.
- Review, analyze, and approve warranty claims before submission to the principal.
- Monitor warranty recoveries and take corrective action on rejected or pending claims.
- Liaise directly with Renault regional and global warranty teams on claim evaluations, audits, technical clarifications, and policy updates.
- Ensure accurate reconciliation of warranty transactions between OEM portals and SAP/ERP systems.
- Lead warranty audits and maintain all supporting documentation in accordance with Renault standards.
- Develop and present management reports, KPIs, warranty trends, and financial performance analysis.
- Support dealer workshops and service teams through guidance, training, and warranty process improvements.
- Monitor warranty reserves, recoveries, and cost control measures to maximize profitability.
- Collaborate with Service, Parts, Technical, and Finance teams to improve warranty performance and customer satisfaction.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce claim rejections and improve claim cycle time.
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree or professional qualification in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in automotive warranty operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- Experience working with automotive OEM warranty systems and dealer management systems.
- Strong knowledge of warranty administration, aftersales operations, technical claim evaluation, and financial reconciliation.
- Experience with SAP ERP or similar systems will be a distinct advantage.
- Exposure to Renault or other European automotive brands will be highly desirable.
