PHARMACY STORES ASSISTANT

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma in Pharmacy / Pharmacy Assistant qualification or relevant healthcare qualification.
  • Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy, retail pharmacy, or healthcare environment will be an added advantage.
  • Good knowledge of pharmaceutical products, medical supplies, and inventory handling procedures.
  • Ability to manage stock receiving, storage, and issuing processes accurately.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy inventory systems and basic computer literacy.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Willingness to work rotational shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Responsible, organized, and committed to maintaining high standards of pharmacy operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive, inspect, and arrange medicines and medical supplies according to established procedures.
  • Maintain accurate stock records, inventory levels, and expiry date monitoring.
  • Issue medicines and supplies to pharmacy units and hospital departments as required.
  • Ensure proper storage conditions for pharmaceuticals and medical items.
  • Maintain documentation related to receiving, issuing, and inventory movements.
  • Monitor near-expiry and expired items and coordinate necessary actions.
  • Support pharmacists and pharmacy team members in daily operations.
  • Follow hospital policies, safety standards, and pharmaceutical handling procedures.
  • Ensure efficient and timely supply availability for patient care services.
