Job Profile
- Coordinating with various departments, relevant government authorities, and contractors to ensure that required approvals are obtained within an acceptable period of time
- Liaising with Customs, Port, SLSL and other relevant government and private institutions in relation to imports and exports
- Handling documentation in accordance with Customs and BOI requirements
- Negotiating with freight forwarders to ensure efficient and cost-effective arrangements
- Handling foreign supplier payments including the preparation and coordination of relevant documentation
- Coordinating with clearing agents to facilitate the timely clearance of shipments
- Collecting relevant information, analyzing and compiling data, prepare reports, and completing required documentation
- Processing Purchase Orders and coordinating with the Finance Department to facilitate supplier payments
Personal Profile
- Possesses a Degree in Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Management, International Trade, or a related field
- 2-3 years of prior experience in a similar capacity, preferably in procurement, logistics, imports and exports, supply chain, or related functions
- Basic knowledge of procurement processes, import and export procedures, shipping documentation, and customs clearance requirements
- Prior experience in coordinating with Customs, BOI, SLSI, Port authorities, clearing agents, freight forwarders, suppliers, and other relevant stakeholders would be an added advantage
