CHIEF NURSING OFFICER
Nawaloka Hospitals PLC is seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Nursing Officer to lead and inspire nursing services across the organisation. The CNO will drive clinical excellence, patient safety, quality care, and professional development while aligning nursing practice with the hospital’s strategic goals.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Valid registration with the Sri Lanka Nursing Council (SLNC) and a valid practicing license.
- Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience in nursing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of nursing leadership, clinical governance, quality improvement, and patient safety standards.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team leadership skills.
- Proven ability to develop and implement nursing strategies and policies.
- Professional certifications or training in healthcare leadership will be an advantage.
- Experience in the healthcare industry, preferably in a tertiary care hospital, will be an added advantage.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for all nursing services.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred, and evidence-based nursing care.
- Develop and implement nursing policies, protocols, and standards of practice.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee nursing workforce planning, staffing, performance management, and development.
- Collaborate with the executive leadership team in strategic planning and decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and best practices.
- Foster professional development and continuing education for nursing staff.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on nursing performance and quality indicators.
