General Description

Stafford Sri Lankan School Doha (SSLSD) is seeking a qualified and experienced Business Studies & Accounting Teacher to join our academic team for the 2026/27 academic year. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the Pearson Edexcel International GCSE (IGCSE) and International Advanced Level (IAL) Business Studies and Accounting curricula to a high standard. The role will involve providing engaging and effective teaching, supporting students in developing strong subject knowledge and examination skills, and preparing them thoroughly for international examinations and academic success.

Qualifications & Criteria (Mandatory)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/ Business Administration /Commerce
  • Having a PGDE qualification is preferred
  • Proven experience teaching Business Studies and Accounting at IGCSE and IAL levels, following the Pearson Edexcel syllabus, with a minimum of 3–4 years of teaching experience in an international school.
  • Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with current Edexcel specifications and examination requirements
  • Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within an academic department and the wider school community

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Business Studies and Accounting lessons for IGCSE and IAL students in accordance with Edexcel specifications.
  • Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessment materials aligned with Edexcel specifications.
  • Track, assess, and report on student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Prepare students effectively for IGCSE and IAL examinations.
  • Foster a positive, disciplined, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through co-curricular activities, as required.

The appointment will be subject to satisfactory enhanced disclosure of the proper qualifications. Misrepresenting academic/professional qualifications will be deemed a gross violation.

All qualification certificates must be issued by a recognized university, verified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in your home country, and attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Qatar.
