STRUCTURAL DRAUGHTSMAN – REVIT (INTERMEDIATE LEVEL)
Ark Draft is a multidisciplinary consultancy providing services to engineering firms based in Australia. We are seeking multiple Structural Draughtsmen with proven drafting experience and Revit capability to join our Sri Lanka office.
This role is suited to candidates with formal experience in structural drafting who can produce accurate drawings and are comfortable working in Revit, regardless of whether that Revit experience was gained professionally, academically, or through self-learning.
Responsibilities
- Develop structural Revit models (slabs, beams, columns, walls, footings)
- Prepare structural drawings and documentation in accordance with company standards
- Interpret engineering sketches, mockups, and details into clear, coordinated drawings
- Produce reinforcement plans
- Coordinate structural models with architectural and MEP disciplines
- Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and constructability
- Work closely with engineers and team members to meet project deadlines
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field
- Minimum 2 years formal experience in structural drafting (required)
- Experience producing structural drawings in a professional environment
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (professional experience not required)
- Good understanding of structural elements and construction detailing
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and documentation
- Strong attention to detail and organised working approach
- Ability to meet deadlines and deliver accurate documentation
- Clear and effective communication skills
Preferred (Not Mandatory)
- Experience on residential or multi-storey building projects
- Familiarity with Australian standards and documentation practices
