LABORATORY MANAGER - CHEMICAL LABORATORY

REQUIREMENTS

• 1. Minimum 12-15 years of laboratory experience, including people management responsibilities.
• 2. M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Chemistry (preferred).
• 3. Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Laboratory Manager within a commercial testing laboratory.
• 4. Proven experience in testing food commodities, water, soil, and related matrices.
• 5. Strong technical expertise in advanced analytical instrumentation:
  • GC-MS
  • GC-MS/MS
  • LC-MS/MS
• 6. Experience in analytical testing, method development, method validation, and interpretation of results.
• 7. Knowledge of regulations and standards related to agrochemical residues and contaminants.
• 8. Experience in regulatory, accreditation, and consumer audits.
• 9. Strong leadership, team-building, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• 10. Ability to optimize laboratory resources and drive operational excellence.
• 11. Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
• 12. Strong commitment to quality, integrity, and HSE requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• 1. Lead and oversee all Chemical Laboratory operations.
• 2. Manage laboratory personnel, performance, training, and development.
• 3. Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and quality requirements.
• 4. Oversee testing activities, method validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• 5. Maintain technical competency and operational efficiency across laboratory functions.
• 6. Support business growth through service enhancement and client engagement.
• 7. Coordinate and lead external and internal audits.
• 8. Drive best laboratory practices and effective resource utilization.
