EXECUTIVE - SUPPLY CHAIN
Samson Trading Company (Pvt) Ltd, a progressive member of the DSI Samson Group, is the group's key trading arm focused on driving business diversification and growth. We are planning to expand into modern retail and general trade markets in Sri Lanka with a growing portfolio of leading brands. We are looking for a dynamic and analytical professional who can drive inventory optimization and enhance business performance through accurate and data-driven demand forecasting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain SKU-level forecasts using statistical models and historical sales data to support supply chain efficiency.
- Support monthly S&OP meetings, ensuring alignment between demand planning, procurement, logistics, and sales.
- Analyze inventory, sales trends, and market movements to identify demand fluctuations, supply risks, and opportunities for optimization.
- Monitor Forecast Accuracy, Bias, and inventory metrics, driving continuous improvement across the supply chain.
- Review and adjust safety stock levels to balance product availability with working capital efficiency.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with marketing, product development, and procurement teams on New Product Introductions (NPI) and product phase-outs.
- Support end-to-end supply chain strategy, including demand planning, inventory control, and logistics coordination.
Personal Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Statistics, Business Analytics or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in demand planning, inventory control, or supply chain data analysis.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience working with ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across multiple departments.
- Ability to work independently while managing deadlines effectively.
