SENIOR ENGINEER – ELECTRICAL & ELECTRONICS

Location – Seethawaka EPZ, Avissawella

The Job

• Primary job role will be Maintain high equipment availability and operational reliability while ensuring electrical safety, minimizing unplanned downtime, controlling maintenance costs, and continuously improving the performance of machinery maintenance and electrical systems, etc.
• Supervising and guiding technicians and maintenance personnel, including allocating work and monitoring performance.
• Responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and executing preventive, predictive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities for machineries and systems. The position ensures maximum equipment availability and minimum production downtime through effective maintenance strategies.
• The role requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving ability, leadership skills, planning capability, and effective coordination with multiple departments.
• Managing the maintenance and troubleshooting of motors, generators, transformers, switchgear, MCC panels, distribution boards, control panels, UPS systems, electrical drives, PLC systems, and other industrial electrical equipment.

The Person

The potential candidate should possess a B.Sc. (Electrical & Electronic) Engineering degree or equivalent with at least 2-3 years of experience in large scale production plant facility. Similar experience in textile industry would be an added advantage. Special consideration would be given to the candidates with knowledge of plant maintenance activities, energy management systems and knowledge of power electrical systems. He should be a result oriented effective team player who can work in a highly dynamic & demanding environment. Salary is negotiable.
