Technical Officer — Civil (Site Operations)
We are seeking a Civil Technical Officer to oversee site operations and ensure the successful execution of civil engineering projects. The role covers site supervision, quality control, and coordination across active construction and infrastructure projects.
What we're looking for:
- Diploma, HNDE/NDES, Degree in Civil Engineering, or NVQ Level 5 and above in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of experience in civil construction, infrastructure, or building projects
- Knowledge of construction methods, site supervision, surveying, and quality control
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Strong communication and reporting skills in both Sinhala and English
- Added advantage: Knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Project, Total Station, or Quantity Surveying
- Male candidates only
What you’ll do:
- Supervise daily site operations and monitor project progress
- Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and site workers
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations
- Monitor material usage and maintain daily site reports and documentation
- Conduct site measurements, inspections, and quality checks
- Identify and resolve technical issues on-site promptly
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
