FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT
Experience in Australian, UK, or US accounting is preferred.
ABOUT THE ROLE

The company focuses on helping clients achieve sustainable growth through expert financial and strategic advice.
We have an established offshore bookkeeping team and are looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join the Sri Lankan team.
Providing clients with a consistently high level of service is a priority.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare weekly and monthly payroll accurately and on time, including the related reconciliations and finance records.
- Prepare general ledgers, trial balances, management accounts and monthly and year-end financial statements.
- Review balance sheet accounts, including clearing and loan accounts.
- Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, invoices, receipts and payment records.
- Prepare and lodge monthly and quarterly Business Activity Statement (BAS), Instalment Activity Statement (IAS), Single Touch Payroll (STP) finalisations, Taxable Payments Annual Report (TPAR), and other compliance requirements.
- Complete all Australian Tax Office (ATO) reporting, preparation and submission via the ATO portals.
- Manage a portfolio of clients across different industries and of varying sizes.
- Proactively follow up with clients for outstanding information and documentation.
REQUIREMENTS
- Candidates with minimum 2 years of experience in Australian, UK, or US Accounting are preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or fully/partly qualified in a professional qualification such as CIMA/ACCA/CMA/CA/CPA.
- Good knowledge of accounting software, including cloud-based platforms such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or similar.
- Sound working knowledge of basic accounting principles, double-entry bookkeeping, ledgers and general accounting processes.
- Experience managing multiple client files and competing deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.
