Financial Accountant
What You’ll Do
- Join a fast-growing startup and take ownership of key finance operations while helping build strong financial foundations.
- You will be working for an Australian client in the retail clothing sector
- Manage general ledger activities and ensure accurate journal entries
- Handle monthly accruals, provisions, and prepayments
- Process payroll-related accounting entries (including leave provisions)
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies quickly
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
- Contribute to improving processes and systems as we scale
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Accounting/Finance
- 3+ years’ accounting experience
- Strong Excel & accounting systems knowledge (Microsoft Dynamics is a plus)
- Detail-oriented, adaptable, and proactive
- Strong communication skills
