CATEGORY MANAGER FRESH DEPARTMENT

JOB ROLE
- Develop category strategies to achieve sales, profitability, and growth targets.
- Manage suppliers, sourcing, and commercial negotiations.
- Oversee product assortment, pricing, promotions, and seasonal offerings.
- Monitor sales, profit margins, inventory, and stock turnover.
- Ensure product freshness, quality, food safety, and wastage control.
- Coordinate with stores and supply chain teams to ensure product availability.
- Analyze market trends and competitors to identify growth opportunities.
- Lead the team to achieve operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
REQUIREMENT
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in category management or retail operations, preferably in fresh food retail.
- Experience in supplier management, negotiation and inventory control.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
