Job Description
The R&D Executive will be responsible for supporting research and development activities related to FMCG products, including product formulation, product improvement, testing, and development. The role involves working with ingredients and raw materials, coordinating with production and quality teams, and ensuring that new and existing products meet required quality, safety, and production standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in the FMCG industry is mandatory.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- Experience in Research & Development, product development, formulation, or quality-related activities will be an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of FMCG product development processes, ingredients, raw materials, and production procedures.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with R&D, Production, Quality Assurance, and other relevant teams.
- Willingness to work in Kandy.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the research and development of new FMCG products.
- Support product formulation, modification, and improvement activities.
- Conduct trials, testing, and evaluations of new formulations and product samples.
- Research and evaluate ingredients, raw materials, and alternative materials.
- Maintain accurate records of R&D trials, formulations, test results, and product specifications.
- Coordinate with Production and Quality Assurance teams during product development and trials.
- Monitor product development activities to ensure compliance with required quality and production standards.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for product improvement, cost optimization, and process enhancement.
- Support the preparation and updating of product specifications, formulations, and technical documentation.
- Stay updated on FMCG industry trends, ingredients, technologies, and product development practices.
