Scope
Lead the Technical Department by driving process improvements, resolving technical bottlenecks, and implementing feasible manufacturing solutions to ensure seamless operations and meet production targets collaboratively.
What you need to have;
- Degree, Diploma, or equivalent professional qualification in Garment Technology/Textile & Clothing Management from a recognized institute.
- Minimum 10 years of overall experience in the apparel manufacturing industry, with at least 5 years in a similar technical leadership/managerial capacity.
- Strong technical expertise in both knit and woven product categories, with comprehensive knowledge of fabric characteristics, garment construction, sewing machinery, and technical quality standards.
- Proven ability in line feeding, layout planning, and machinery allocation. Hands-on experience analyzing Quick Changeover (QCO) metrics and leading pattern adjustments/engineering methods to optimize SMV and overall line efficiency.
- Demonstrated capability to initiate, develop, and implement standard technical procedures (SOPs) to boost line productivity, right-first-time quality, and throughput.
- Candidates residing in or around Nuwara Eliya (or willing to relocate) are preferred. Age below 50 years.
