Credit Analyst / Credit Officer
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement credit policies, procedures, and guidelines in line with business and regulatory requirements.
- Assess customers' creditworthiness and recommend appropriate credit limits and payment terms.
- Monitor customer accounts, outstanding balances, and overdue debts to ensure timely collection.
- Develop and execute collection strategies, including payment negotiations and settlement arrangements.
- Maintain professional relationships with customers while resolving credit and payment-related issues.
- Prepare credit, collection, and receivables reports, providing insights and recommendations to management.
- Maintain accurate credit documentation and customer account records.
- Ensure credit control activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and internal controls.
- Lead, supervise, and develop the credit control team to achieve collection and performance targets.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Finance or Accounting
- Part-qualified or professionally qualified in CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, ACCA, AAT or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience (credit control, debt collection, debtors management, recovery of outstanding balances)
- Good knowledge of internal controls, accounting procedures and financial systems
- Exceptional risk assessment capability and attention to detail.
- Clear, professional communication and reporting skills.
