Site Quantity Surveyor (Full - Time Basic)
Join our team and be part of the prestigious “Construction of Proposed Station Building at Maho Junction” project for Sri Lanka Railways.
Qualifications & Experience
- Educational Qualifications: NCT (QS) or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant post-qualifying experience in civil engineering and building construction projects.
Role Profile & Key Responsibilities
- Cost Estimation, Measurement & BOQ Management:
- Take off quantities from structural, architectural, and MEP drawings as per approved standards.
- Review contract specifications, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and project drawings to monitor cost parameters.
- Prepare material takeoff sheets and support material procurement negotiations.
- Valuation, Billing & Payment Processing:
- Prepare monthly Interim Payment Applications / Claims for submission to Sri Lanka Railways (client).
- Check, verify, and process subcontractor bills, measurement sheets, and payment certificates.
- Assist in evaluating variations, claims for extra work, and price escalation documentation.
- Cost Control & Contractual Correspondence:
- Assist the Project Manager and Head Office in cost tracking, value engineering, and financial reporting.
- Maintain comprehensive records of site measurements, variation orders, approved rate breakdowns, and contractual correspondence.
- Participate in progress review meetings and final accounts reconciliation prior to project handover.
