The Role

We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Engineering Intern to support engineering operations through hands-on involvement in maintenance, process improvement, and technical activities while gaining practical exposure to manufacturing and shop-floor practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities on the shop floor.
  • Support preventive maintenance tasks for machinery and equipment.
  • Participate in troubleshooting basic mechanical and operational issues.
  • Assist in monitoring equipment performance and reporting abnormalities.
  • Support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Assist in maintaining engineering records, logs, and documentation.
  • Follow safety procedures and ensure proper use of PPE at all times.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational requirements.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate or recent graduate in Engineering (Mechanical/Manufacturing/Chemical/Production & Industrial or related field preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of mold components and injection molding processes (preferred).
  • Familiarity with hand tools and measuring instruments (e.g., vernier caliper, micrometer).
  • Understanding of preventive maintenance concepts.
  • Ability to read basic technical drawings would be added advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of safety practices (PPE, Lockout/Tagout).
  • Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality awareness.
  • Willingness to work in a hands-on, shop-floor environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills. Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
