The Role
We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Engineering Intern to support engineering operations through hands-on involvement in maintenance, process improvement, and technical activities while gaining practical exposure to manufacturing and shop-floor practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities on the shop floor.
- Support preventive maintenance tasks for machinery and equipment.
- Participate in troubleshooting basic mechanical and operational issues.
- Assist in monitoring equipment performance and reporting abnormalities.
- Support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Assist in maintaining engineering records, logs, and documentation.
- Follow safety procedures and ensure proper use of PPE at all times.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational requirements.
Requirements
- Undergraduate or recent graduate in Engineering (Mechanical/Manufacturing/Chemical/Production & Industrial or related field preferred).
- Basic knowledge of mold components and injection molding processes (preferred).
- Familiarity with hand tools and measuring instruments (e.g., vernier caliper, micrometer).
- Understanding of preventive maintenance concepts.
- Ability to read basic technical drawings would be added advantage.
- Basic knowledge of safety practices (PPE, Lockout/Tagout).
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and quality awareness.
- Willingness to work in a hands-on, shop-floor environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills. Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
