HAMBANTOTA INTERNATIONAL PORT SERVICES COMPANY PRIVATE LIMITED (HIPS) is a joint venture company established as a Public Private Partnership between HIPG and SLPA to operate and manage the port services and common user facilities in the Hambantota International Port.

HIPS provides a wide range of marine services to vessels calling at Hambantota International Port including Navigational Services, Pilotage, Emergency Response and Security Services.

Port Security Officer

This role is responsible for planning and supervising the security deployment in the Port premise while monitoring the outsourced Security Service Providers' activities on a daily basis and assist the Management to ensure the security of the Hambantota International Port.

Role Requirements:

• Male candidates who have served in the Tri-forces are preferred for this specific position.
• Age should be below 45 years.
• Ability to converse in English and average writing skill in English. Proficiency in MS Office application.
• Experience in handling CCTV surveillance system and operating/investigating/maintaining equipment.
• The ability to be proactive and to take security initiative.
• Energetic, self-motivated team player with strong work ethic. Ability to work with a wide variety of stakeholders.
• Willingness to work long hours as and when required.
• Relationship with local law enforcement agencies is an added advantage.
