EXECUTIVE - SUPPLY CHAIN

We are looking for a young, analytical and motivated graduate to join our Purchasing & Procurement team. This would be an excellent opportunity for the selected candidate to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment into procurement, supply chain, purchasing, business analysis and commercial operations.
Preference would be given to the candidates who are based in Matara or reside within close proximity.
Core Responsibilities
- Analyze purchasing data, historical prices, quantities and supplier trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Research and identify new suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and alternative sourcing options.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations, prepare price comparisons and support supplier negotiations.
- Identify alternative materials, equivalent products and substitute specifications to optimize cost, quality and availability.
- Consolidate material requirements from departments and coordinate specifications, quantities, priorities and required delivery dates.
- Monitor supplier performance, market prices, delivery schedules and outstanding purchase requirements.
- Maintain accurate supplier databases, purchasing records, price databases and procurement reports.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree or Higher Diploma in Business Management, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, IT/Data Analytics or a related field. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills, with good attention to detail.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, data analysis and internet research.
- Experience in ERP/purchasing systems, online supplier sourcing, Power BI/reporting tools, and industrial or engineering materials.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, with good command of written and spoken English.
- Proactive, organized and commercially minded, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple requirements.
