EXECUTIVE - AGRONOMY / PLANTATIONS
Location: Ethimale – Siyambalanduwa
Reports To: Manager – Agronomy / Plantations
THE ROLE
We are looking for a dynamic, hands-on and result-oriented agricultural professional to oversee agronomy and plantation operations, ensuring optimum productivity, quality, cost efficiency and sustainable farming practices.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and supervise crop cultivation and plantation operations
- Manage irrigation, fertilization, pest & disease control and harvesting
- Supervise and coordinate farm workers and field teams
- Manage agricultural inputs, equipment and other operational resources
- Monitor crop performance, productivity and yields
- Maintain accurate operational, production and input records
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety and environmental standards
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and modern farming practices
- Assist with budgeting and cost control
- Prepare regular operational and performance reports for management
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agronomy, Plantation Management or a related field.
- 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in:
- Agronomy
- Plantation Management
- Farm Management
- Agricultural Operations
