Job Profile
- Plan, coordinate and supervise sugarcane harvesting operations to ensure an uninterrupted supply of quality cane to the factory.
- Develop harvesting schedules aligned with factory requirements, crop maturity and field readiness.
- Source and manage harvesting labour, contractors and field operations to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
- Monitor cane quality, harvesting progress, loading, transportation coordination and field losses.
- Coordinate with growers and relevant departments to ensure timely harvesting and resolve operational issues.
- Monitor harvesting costs, labour productivity and performance against agreed targets.
- Maintain accurate harvesting records and prepare regular operational and performance reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, labour regulations and company policies.
- Maximise the utilisation of mechanical harvesters and minimise harvesting losses.
Person Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Plantation Management, Agricultural Engineering, Agribusiness Management, Business Management or a related discipline.
- Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in labour mobilisation and harvesting management.
- Proven experience in strategic planning and harvesting operations.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams, budgets and operational performance.
- Strong leadership, planning, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Good analytical skills with a focus on productivity, cost control and operational efficiency.
- A Master's Degree or relevant professional memberships and certifications will be an added advantage.
