Sample Development Coordinator

Get samples made accurately and on time.
Join Elegant Knitting International, an Australian-owned apparel manufacturer. Coordinate sample development on the factory floor, working with operators, technical teams and quality staff from the first request to the finished sample.
What you will do
- Review patterns, sample specifications, measurements and buyer comments.
- Ensure fabrics, components, trims and instructions are ready.
- Personally follow samples through cutting, sewing and finishing.
- Guide operators and resolve construction issues with technical staff.
- Check measurements and workmanship, and follow up corrections.
- Track priorities and deadlines; hand over complete, labelled samples.
What you will bring
- Ideally 2-3 years in sample development, garment technology, quality or sewing supervision.
- Practical sewing and garment construction knowledge, with the ability to interpret specifications.
- Accurate measurement and sample quality checking skills.
- Confident communication, persistent follow-up and practical problem-solving.
- Good organisation and basic computer skills. Experienced sewing operators ready to move into coordination are welcome.
Applicants from all relevant apparel backgrounds are welcome. This role focuses on technical coordination and follow-up; sewing-machine operation is not the main duty.
