ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT

A member of the David Piers Group, David Piers Racing & Leisure (Private) Limited (DPRL) is the holding company of its leisure cluster which includes Pearl Bay Bandargama, a unique leisure offering that brings together Sri Lanka’s first water park, built and certified to European Health and Safety Standards, a FIA/CIK certified leisure and profession karting track, Speedbay at Port City Colombo and Hill Cottage - a boutique hotel in Nuwara Eliya.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the management accounting process and preparation of invoices and debit notes.
• Prepare bank reconciliations, pass journal entries and prepare debtor collection letters.
• Manage petty cash, disbursement of payments, payment vouchers and document archiving.
• Assist in month end financial reporting.

REQUIREMENTS

• Completed G.C.E (Advanced Level), preferably in the commerce stream.
• Part qualification from a recognised institution such as AAT, ICASL, ACCA, CIMA.
• A minimum of 02 years' work experience in the field of finance/accountancy with good time management skills.
• Hands-on experience in computerised accounting packages and MS Office.
• A good team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Sinhala.
• Knowledge and experience in hotel and leisure sector would be an added advantage.
