The Assistant Manager – HR will oversee and support the day-to-day delivery of HR operations across the resort, working closely with department heads and employees to foster a high-performing, engaged and service-oriented workforce.

The role will ensure that all HR practices are consistently implemented in line with the policies, procedures, systems and guidelines established by Vella Group Corporate HR.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement and ensure adherence to HR policies, procedures and guidelines issued by Vella Group Corporate HR.
  • Ensure property-level HR practices remain aligned with Group standards and requirements.
  • Partner with department heads on employee relations, performance management and disciplinary matters.
  • Coordinate recruitment, onboarding and employee documentation.
  • Monitor attendance, leave and HR administration through the HRIS.
  • Support workforce planning and manpower requirements across the resort.
  • Coordinate training and development initiatives to strengthen employee capabilities.
  • Drive employee engagement, recognition and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Support performance appraisal and talent development processes.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable statutory requirements and Group HR policies.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and prepare HR reports and analytics.
  • Identify and escalate matters requiring Corporate HR intervention or guidance.
  • Support the implementation of Group-wide HR initiatives and projects.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture aligned with the values and service standards of 98 Acres Resort & Spa and Vella Group.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • A degree or professional qualification in Human Resources Management or a related field.
  • 4–6 years of progressive HR experience, preferably within a luxury hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HR operations, employee relations and labour practices.
  • Proven experience in implementing and maintaining HR policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with operational teams.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A hands-on, solutions-oriented approach with the ability to thrive in a dynamic hospitality environment.
