The Senior QA/QC Officer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality assurance and quality control procedures throughout the project. The position will work closely with engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure that construction activities meet approved drawings, specifications, standards, and project quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain the project's Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements and quality requirements.
- Conduct inspections and coordinate Inspection Requests (IRs) and relevant quality documentation.
- Review material approvals, test reports, inspection records and quality documentation.
- Coordinate with consultants, engineers, subcontractors and site teams on quality-related matters.
- Identify non-conformities and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain proper QA/QC records, inspection reports and quality registers.
- Assist in preparing quality reports and supporting project audits.
- Ensure testing and inspection activities are properly planned, documented and followed up.
Requirements:
- Diploma / HND / Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, Quality Management, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant QA/QC experience in construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction quality procedures and documentation.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
- Good communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively with site teams.
