Job Description
Program: Promoting Sustainable Agriculture to Ensure Food Security in all 25 Districts in Sri Lanka.
Position: REGIONAL PROGRAM COORDINATOR
Educational Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in the field of Agriculture, which is recognized by the UGC in Sri Lanka, and a minimum of two years’ experience in the relevant field.
Duties and Responsibilities in the Organization are as follows;
- Facilitate and coordinate program implementation at target locations in Sri Lanka, in close collaboration with the National Program Coordinator.
- Ensure that the program is implemented in accordance with the terms and requirements defined in the contract.
- Arrange and participate in joint field missions to target locations to monitor activities, share learning, identify challenges, and ensure the quality and timely delivery of program outputs.
- Organize and conduct training and capacity-building programs for relevant staff.
- Assist in planning and conducting biannual and annual program review meetings.
- Assist in planning and conducting program evaluations.
- Assist in consolidating detailed program progress reports and other relevant documentation.
Duty Station
The duty station will be Colombo. However, the successful candidate will be required to travel to outstation locations, as necessary, to monitor program activities and provide implementation support to program staff.
Qualifications and Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in spoken and written English and in Sinhala or Tamil.
- Age: 24–40 years.
- Strong coordination, communication, reporting, monitoring, and organizational skills would be an advantage.
Remuneration
Remuneration will be in the range of Rs. 60,000/- per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
