Motion Graphic Designer
Swarnavahini is looking for a creative Motion Graphic Designer (News) to join our dynamic newsroom. You will act as a visual storyteller, creating compelling, accurate, and informative graphics, including infographics, data visualizations, charts, illustrations, and page layouts to powerful support our editorial storytelling and news content presentation
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Design and create 3D models, animations, and motion graphics for news-related television content, also digital platforms and social media.
- Create visually compelling graphics to simplify and communicate complex news topics.
- Work with data to turn it into digestible visual formats (e.g., charts, graphs, timelines).
- Work closely with journalists, editors, and photographers to understand the story and identify the best visual approach.
- Optimize 3D assets for real-time rendering and efficient workflow.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, software, and techniques in 3D graphics.
- Manage multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Ensure visual hierarchy, readability, and consistency with brand standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and creative flair.
- Strong communication skills, able to take creative feedback and iterate on designs effectively.
- Quickly produce visual content for breaking news stories under tight deadlines.
- Prioritize accuracy and clarity in high-pressure situations.
- Proven experience in program set design and logo creation for television, live events, or digital media.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Proven experience as a video editor or similar role
- Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, etc.
- Solid understanding of storytelling, pacing, and visual language
- Experience with motion graphics and color correction is a plus
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
- A strong portfolio or demo reel showcasing past work.
Education & Qualifications
- Completed a 6-month certificate course in video editing, multimedia, or a related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Graphic Design
- Proficient in industry-standard software such as Adobe After Effects, 3D Max, or Maya C4D
- Good working knowledge of Graphic Designing techniques
- Experience with basic graphic project workflows
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling, pacing, and composition
