FINANCE MANAGER
The Finance Manager is responsible for leading all financial operations of the online betting business, ensuring accurate financial reporting, revenue reconciliation, cash flow management, regulatory compliance, and robust internal controls.
The role oversees betting revenue accounting, customer wallet reconciliations, payment gateway settlements, banking relationships, taxation, anti-money laundering (AML) controls, and financial analysis. The Finance Manager will provide strategic financial insights to support growth, profitability, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance across digital betting platforms.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Professional qualification such as CA Sri Lanka, ACCA, CIMA
- Minimum 5-8 years of finance experience.
- Minimum 3 years in a senior finance or managerial role.
- Experience within online betting, gaming, fintech, e-commerce, digital payments, or technology-driven businesses is highly preferred.
- Experience managing high-volume transaction environments
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor and reconcile betting turnover, Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR), Net Gaming Revenue (NGR), bonuses, promotions, and customer winnings.
- Ensure daily reconciliation between betting platforms, customer wallets, payment gateways, and bank accounts.
- Develop financial models supporting strategic decision-making.
- Lead annual budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Ensure compliance with gaming regulations, taxation requirements, and licensing obligations.
- Support Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Terrorist Financing (CTF) compliance frameworks.
- Monitor suspicious financial activities and large-value transactions.
- Coordinate regulatory reporting and audits.
- Liaise with gaming regulators, tax authorities, banks, and external auditors.
- Ensure customer funds are managed according to regulatory requirements
