Research Assistant (Qualitative Research)
As a Research Assistant, you will support qualitative research activities aimed at understanding community, health system, and behavioral factors influencing the implementation and uptake of a new intervention. This role provides valuable exposure to fieldwork, international research standards, and multidisciplinary teamwork
Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Health Promotion, Biological Sciences or a related field
- Experience or interest in qualitative research methods will be an added advantage
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills in English and Tamil and/or Sinhala
- Confidence in engaging with community members, families, healthcare professionals, and government or private stakeholders
- Ability to work in the Northern province and manage field responsibilities efficiently
- Flexibility to work during extended hours, weekends, and public holidays, depending on project needs
- Applicants should be based in Vavuniya or the surrounding areas
