PRODUCTION INDUSTRIALIZATION SPECIALIST
Every product starts as a design and a set of technical drawings. Someone has to make sure it can actually be manufactured at the right cost, at the right quality, on time, and at scale. That's this role.
Our client is the regional production arm of a global sportswear brand, working with Sri Lankan manufacturers to produce products sold worldwide. They're hiring an Industrialization Specialist to sit between their product teams and supplier factories, taking new products from techpack to production-ready.
What you'll do
- Build and own the industrialization plan for your product range, shaped around the risks and complexity of each product
- Review techpacks for manufacturing feasibility and send them back when they're not ready
- Manage the timeline across product teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders through to production sign-off
- Work with Purchasing and Manufacturing Engineering to challenge cost drivers and lock the target production cost
- Coach supplier teams so they can run more of the process independently
- Spot production problems early, get the right people in the room, and drive the fix
What you'll bring
- A degree in Textiles, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- Around 2 years in apparel – product development or costing merchandising is ideal, though strong candidates from adjacent areas will be considered
- A working understanding of critical paths and production timelines
- Confidence communicating in English with suppliers and international teams
- The analytical instinct to work from data rather than assumption
- Genuine interest in sport and an active lifestyle
