VACANCIES

EDEXCEL A LEVEL ART AND DESIGN TEACHER

Key Responsibilities :

  • Plan and deliver lessons aligned with the Pearson Edexcel A Level Art and Design subject specification and assessment objectives
  • Develop students’ creative and practical artistic skills and strengthen students’ critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Manage assessment, coursework and examination requirements
  • Support students’ academic and artistic development and encourage creativity, originality and independent thinking
  • Maintain a safe, organised and well-resourced art studio

EDEXCEL A LEVEL LAW TEACHER

Key Responsibilities :

  • Plan and deliver lessons aligned with the Pearson Edexcel A Level Law subject specification and assessment objectives
  • Teach the required areas of law, legal principles, legislation and relevant case law accurately and effectively
  • Develop students’ understanding of the English legal system and the processes through which laws are created, interpreted and applied and train students to analyse legal scenarios, identify relevant issues and apply legal principles and precedents to reach reasoned conclusions
  • Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, notes, case summaries and other learning resources
  • Set and mark classwork, homework, assignments, tests and mock examinations, providing timely and constructive feedback, monitoring and recording student progress, identifying areas of concern and providing appropriate intervention and additional support
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessment results, predicted grades and academic progress
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive and intellectually challenging learning environment
  • Attend staff meetings, parent meetings, professional development programmes and other official school activities
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties assigned by the Principal or school management
