The candidate is expected to:

  • Carry out end-to-end consulting projects, including, but not limited to, risk-based internal audits, internal control assessments, compliance reviews, current state assessments, enterprise risk management engagements, agreed upon procedures reviews and other special assignments, including developing procedure manuals for clients.
  • Deliver / manage engagements on time, cost and high quality.
  • Identify key areas of improvement in the client's business processes and add value by preparing insightful recommendations.
  • Contribute to business development activities such as preparing proposals.
  • Always comply with the firm's quality and risk management policies.
  • Work on multiple engagements/ clients concurrently.

Knowledge skills and abilities:

  • Part-qualified or fully qualified in CASL/CIMA/ACCA and/or a Bachelor's degree focusing on accounting & finance, Industrial management, or statistics.
  • Minimum 3 to 4 years of experience in Internal Auditing or Consulting (Experience in the capital markets, banking and finance industry, would be an added advantage)
  • Committed to working for 3 years in the firm.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to quickly learn and handle new areas/solutions by leveraging internal and external knowledge sources.
  • Proactively anticipate engagement-related risks and escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Strong relationship management skills to actively establish stakeholder/client (process owner/functional heads) and internal relationships.
  • Team players who are looking for opportunities to contribute to wider team goals.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) skills, data analytics.
  • As part of a high-performing team, the individual should be self-motivated and willing to stretch to meet client and practice requirements.
  • Preference for candidates holding the CIA qualification or the IAP qualification offered by the IIA or a member of Institute of Internal Auditors Sri Lanka.
