KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Study and understand garment specifications, tech packs, patterns, measurements, and construction details.
  • Support the development and production of pants and jackets from sample stage through bulk production.
  • Check garment construction, measurements, fitting, stitching, finishing, and overall workmanship.
  • Identify technical and production issues and provide practical solutions.
  • Coordinate with pattern makers, sample room, production, quality, and merchandising teams.
  • Monitor sewing operations and ensure correct construction methods are followed.
  • Conduct measurements and fitting checks on samples and production garments.
  • Assist with sample corrections and communicate required alterations clearly.
  • Ensure garments meet approved samples, buyer specifications, and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to sewing, fitting, fabric, trims, and garment construction.
  • Maintain technical records, measurement charts, sample comments.
  • Support quality improvement and minimize production defects and rework.
  • Follow company safety, quality, and production procedures.
  • Pressing and finishing process.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Previous experience as a garment technician, technical officer, sample technician or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of pants and jacket construction.
  • Good understanding of garment measurements, fitting, patterns and sewing techniques.
  • Ability to identify construction and quality problems.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to read and understand tech packs and measurement specifications.
  • Knowledge of garment production processes and quality standards.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under production deadlines.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with woven garments, trousers/pants, blazers, jackets, coats, or similar structured garments will be an advantage.
