Technician - Pant & Jacket

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Study and understand garment specifications, tech packs, patterns, measurements, and construction details.
- Support the development and production of pants and jackets from sample stage through bulk production.
- Check garment construction, measurements, fitting, stitching, finishing, and overall workmanship.
- Identify technical and production issues and provide practical solutions.
- Coordinate with pattern makers, sample room, production, quality, and merchandising teams.
- Monitor sewing operations and ensure correct construction methods are followed.
- Conduct measurements and fitting checks on samples and production garments.
- Assist with sample corrections and communicate required alterations clearly.
- Ensure garments meet approved samples, buyer specifications, and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot issues related to sewing, fitting, fabric, trims, and garment construction.
- Maintain technical records, measurement charts, sample comments.
- Support quality improvement and minimize production defects and rework.
- Follow company safety, quality, and production procedures.
- Pressing and finishing process.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Previous experience as a garment technician, technical officer, sample technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of pants and jacket construction.
- Good understanding of garment measurements, fitting, patterns and sewing techniques.
- Ability to identify construction and quality problems.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to read and understand tech packs and measurement specifications.
- Knowledge of garment production processes and quality standards.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under production deadlines.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Experience with woven garments, trousers/pants, blazers, jackets, coats, or similar structured garments will be an advantage.
