Manager – Islamic Finance

Role Profile

The job holder will report to the Head of Islamic Finance and will be responsible for supporting the implementation of business strategies, driving portfolio growth, coordinating Islamic Finance operations, and ensuring compliance with Shariah governance requirements. The role requires close collaboration with branches, business units, and key stakeholders to achieve business targets and enhance the Company's Islamic Finance offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing strategic initiatives to achieve growth targets for the Islamic Finance portfolio.
  • Drive business development activities and identify opportunities to expand Islamic Finance products and services.
  • Support Branch Managers and business teams in achieving targets relating to new business generation, deposit mobilization, and recoveries.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and recommend actions to improve profitability, productivity, and asset quality.
  • Conduct credit evaluations and provide recommendations in line with approved Islamic Finance guidelines and risk management practices.
  • Coordinate with the Shariah Supervisory Board and ensure compliance with Shariah governance requirements.
  • Support the development, enhancement, and implementation of Shariah-compliant products and services.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of Islamic Finance operations.
  • Prepare periodic management reports, business reviews, and portfolio performance analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and operational procedures.

Candidate Profile

  • A Degree in Management, Finance, Banking, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline from a recognized University, or a professional qualification in Banking, Finance, or Marketing.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably with exposure to Islamic Finance operations.
  • Sound knowledge of Islamic Finance principles, Shariah compliance requirements, and Islamic financial products.
  • Strong understanding of credit analysis, portfolio management, and risk management concepts.
  • Experience in business development and relationship management.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other relevant business systems.
