INTERIOR DRAUGHTSMAN/DESIGNER (FURNITURE)
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Interior Draughtsman to join our furniture manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and feasibility of furniture production through technical drawing assessments, costing preparation, cutting plans, and material planning. A strong technical background in furniture design and materials is essential for this role.
Job Role
- Create, review, and analyze technical drawings to ensure feasibility for production.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for furniture production based on drawings and material requirements.
- Develop precise cutting plans to optimize material usage and minimize waste.
- Prepare detailed material lists based on technical drawings.
- Work closely with designers, project managers, and factory teams to ensure seamless workflow from design to production.
- Provide feedback on design feasibility and suggest improvements if necessary.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Furniture Design, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years in a similar role, preferably in a furniture manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools).
- Strong understanding of furniture construction techniques, materials, and finishes.
- Knowledge of material optimization and costing processes.
