Join our Team as a Accounts Associate - Accounts Payable
Location - Colombo 3, Sri Lanka.
Job Role
- Prepare payment schedules, online bank transfers and cheque requisitions as per payment terms
- Perform weekly bank reconciliations and maintain monthly reconciliation reports
- Support identification of applicable local tax withholdings (WHT, APIT, VAT) on supplier payments per IRD regulations
- Assist senior team with AP accruals, aging reports and month end journal entries
- Apply double entry bookkeeping and GL coding knowledge to daily AP tasks
- Follow payment processing procedures accurately and on time
- Apply basic knowledge of Sri Lankan tax regulations relating to vendor payments
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required
- Undergraduate qualification in Management, Accounting or Finance
- Part qualification in CA, ACCA or CIMA
- Experience in SAP is an added advantage
- Strong analytical and financial accounting expertise
- Good communication skills
- Quick learner with a proactive, detail oriented approach
