AS400 Engineer
Power Systems | AS/400 | IT Infrastructure
We are looking for a skilled and responsible AS400 Engineer to support and maintain critical customer IT environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide technical support for Power Systems / AS400 environments.
- Handle customer service requests from start to closure.
- Perform on-site hardware troubleshooting and repairs.
- Support Power Systems, Disk Storage and Tape Storage hardware.
- Install, upgrade and maintain system hardware and software.
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure smooth system operations.
- Work closely with customers and internal technical teams.
- Support new system implementations, upgrades and modifications.
- Ensure customer service and contractual requirements are properly maintained.
- Manage spare parts, stock and inventory.
- Work closely with the Technical Support Services (TSS) Team.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in:
- Engineering
- Computer Science
- Information Technology
- Or a related technical field
- 1+ year of experience in:
- AS400
- Power Systems
- Or a similar IT environment
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with customers and technical teams.
- Willingness to provide on-site technical support when required.
