Key Accounts & Administrative Executive – Modern Trade
MA's Kitchen is a leader in Sri Lanka's food processing sector. With four manufacturing facilities situated in key growing regions, we manufacture over 300 different products for customers in local and global markets. We are looking for an energetic, outgoing and results-driven person to take on the role of Key Accounts & Administrative Executive in our sales team serving clients in the Modern Trade.
This is primarily a field-based role that requires frequent travel to supermarket outlets, client offices and distribution points across the island. Candidates must be comfortable spending a significant part of their working week out in the field.
Responsibilities:
- Key Account Support (Modern Trade Accounts)
- Support the Key Account Manager in managing major modern trade supermarket chains, learning account planning, negotiations and business reviews
- Monitor merchandising activities at outlet level and report on issues.
- Carry out frequent field visits to supermarket outlets to check product availability, shelf visibility, pricing and promotional compliance, and report gaps promptly.
- Attend client meetings and follow up on agreed action points.
- Build strong working relationships with client category teams, store managers and in-store staff through regular on-site engagement.
- Sales Administration & Reporting
- Sales admin work, including regular reporting, sales and delivery data analysis, and following up on receivables and documentation.
- Coordinate with production, logistics, finance and marketing teams to ensure accurate and on-time deliveries.
- Follow up on outstanding payments and support collections within credit terms.
- Maintain accurate customer records, pricing files, listing agreements and other trade documentation.
Requirements:
- A Sales, Marketing or Culinary related educational background
- 3+ years of experience in FMCG sales, preferably in the food industry
- Excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Fluency in English and Sinhala, the ability to converse in Tamil would be an added advantage.
