Margin Trading Officer
Corporate Advisory and Capital Market
(2 positions in Junior Executive and Executive grades)
Merchant Bank of Sri Lanka & Finance PLC (MBSL), a leading finance company and a subsidiary of Bank of Ceylon, invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced professionals for the position of Margin Trading Officer.
Who we are looking for
- Passed G.C.E. Advanced Level.
- A Degree in Finance, Business Management, Accounting, Economics or a related field from a recognized university will be an added advantage.
- 1 – 3 years of experience in margin trading, stockbroking, investment operations, banking or a related field.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
Maximum age limit: Below 35 years.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage Margin Trading Facility granting, recovery and reporting processes efficiently.
- Achieve assigned Margin Trading portfolio and business targets.
- Handle buying power requests, daily margin settlements and customer account updates accurately and promptly.
- Follow up on margin calls and forced-selling processes.
- Liaise with stockbrokers and customers to strengthen relationships and increase business volumes.
- Manage facility enhancements, agreements, approvals and related documentation.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure timely completion of required reports.
- Contribute to the continuous development and improvement of Margin Trading processes.
